Weekend Warriors
So I am just curious...what will everyone be working on this coming weekend? My plans are to finish getting my new quilt/craft room organized and ready for use and then hopefully (crossing fingers) working on a Strippy Hexie quilt that I have been working on.
The hubby and I are also attending the Home Remodeling Show in Madison this Saturday. Kelly |
I will be quilting on two baby quilts and cutting binding and sewing it on.
|
I am back to finishing my Easter BOM quilt. I got it all finished last weekend except for the top and bottom borders. Then I am going to practice FMQ again. I bought 3 sets of 3 fat quarters. I use 2 to make a quilt sandwich and the 3rd to bind the little quilts.
|
Still working on organizing my new quilting space. Might work on my Celtic Solstice Bonnie Hunter MQ if I get enough stuff put away. Right now it is a bit of a mess. But, it's gonna be awesome!! :-)

I am waiting for my Line-Tamer ruler to arrive in the mail. I want to practice cross hatching on my Babylock Tiara!

Ive just finished shed embroidering Scottish emblems onto a large top (105 inches sq) and will be working on the collage of Printed photographs from around Scotland that will form part of the back. I have about 60 of various sizes to be collated. It's quite fun to do but if I get scunnered I will be working on a little gingham baby quilt. Happy weekend! |
This weekend, we are expecting snow, so I am going to stay in the house and make a doll blanket and a pair of curtains
I am going to stay in where it's warm and hide in my sewing room. Hope you all have a nice weekend and stay safe and warm. Rachel |
I used the one seam, 3-D, method. The geese have gentle curve to their wings. Makes the point look pretty sharp. I really want to see what you are working on! I love the word, "scunnered" ;-)
|
Going to London Sunday for work, so Saturday packing for London and also for my holiday to Florida next Friday yippee not much sewing I'm afraid
|
Debra K, that's beautiful!! Love the curve in the geese!

Finish up my mini swap quilt today. Then start reorganizing my sewing room. I have so much stuff to let go but have a hard time doing that. I've never been a hoarder but since I retired and started quilting I can't seem to control my self with fabric and notions. It's a slow difficult process.

I just hung up the phone from signing up for a class that starts tomorrow. I also have to finish a ruler bag by Monday so I will be busy.
|
I'm sure you've seen this before. I'm just describing it differently ;-)
|
I hope to finish a table runner and continue work on a wedding quilt for nephew who is getting married in May.
|
i'll be working on my mystery train quilt
|
I will be packing up all my quilting stuff so no sewing this weekend. We have painters coming in on Monday and our bonus room where I sew is one of the rooms being done. I was a little overwhelmed with how much stuff I have once I started having to pack it. I am committed to purging when I put the room back together next week. Wish me luck
|
I will be setting up my new 22" innova tomorrow - just traded up from 18"!!
|
I have a Tumbler that needs just a couple more rows to be large enough for my taste. Ten rows done.

I am working on a "Happy Snowman" quilt for a foster child with autism. I cut it out today and have made all the HST. It will be an easy, fun quilt to make on a dreary weekend.

I will be putting the binding on a Kaffee Fassett quilt to finish it tomorrow. And then starting my very first baby quilt. |
Still working on the single irish chain from men's shirts. I've chain pieced one light/one dark and now I'm working on adding the third square to make one row of the nine patches. I picked up some half yards and fat quarters in the colors for Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice today. I want to do a few squares to see if I want to make the quilt. They're tempting me but I'd like to finish the current project first.
|
I am going to be working on sorting out a very large box of scraps. And then try to re-organize some shelves.

i am working on my nieces t shirt quilt. my first one. it has been a ride.
|
Found a quilt pattern I loved 2-3 years ago. Finally bought the material last year. I plan to begin cutting this weekend. It's a complicated pattern. Lots of little pieces. I'm in no rush and I must to get a t-shirt quilt done by next Christmas. Hopefully I'll have it done by this time next year.
|
I will be working on my Tiddlywinks donation quilt.
|
Will be working on my mystery train #8 and probably also on a tote for a friend.
She loved the lining fabric of the one I just finished for my DD who of course suggested since I still had some of that fabric she needed one for her dotera (sp?) oils, didn't she. Gotta love my DD! |

thank you. I'm scrap busting, but I intentionally left out the color blue.
I love the quilt in your avatar. |
I'll be working on my 2015 BOM blocks for January, so my sister and I can meet and pick up our February blocks. We have snow on the ground here this morning, so I won't be going out for anything; not even to my sewing room. I have a block-sewing and cutting area set up here in the house, so I'll be there most of the day. Maybe some cooking, I am kinda hungry for lasagna.....
|
Having just finished vacuuming b/c of two Labradors and tidying up the house, I'm heading to the sewing room to work on several quilts I have going. Two service quilts and one jelly roll, The Shenandoah Valley, to get its borders on. A dreary, rainy, ice-probable day here in the mid-Shenandoah Valley. I belong to a quilting bee that meets several times a month. We sew beautiful and well-make charity quilts and we'll be donating them to a safe house in need. We take pride in the work we do and we present these fine gifts to cheer up a saddened heart.
|
I have 3 projects going at the same time, just in case I should get bored. A floral scrap king size quilt, just squares really trying to get to the bottom of a box of floral fabric, machine quilting a baby scraps quilt and the hand applique border (#3) to my Baltimore quilt.

I'm slowly making my way through the house, cleaning Everything of dust after our bath remodel. What a mess. What a pretty bathroom.
For stitching I'm adding the last 8-10 english paper piecing pieces to the edge of my La Passacaglia quilt from the book Millefiori Quilts by Willyne Hammerstein This image is from back in December. Next is to choose the border fabric and applique down those odd edges. Life is good |
Oh Kalama, what a stunner you are working on!
