Great looking quilt...no advice on the quilting.
|
This is a really great quilt and I am glad that you were able to re-size it to meet your desired size. Stitching in the ditch would be great but will be difficult unless you do it FMQ style because of all the corners and you don't want lots and lots of starts and stops. I have been looking at modern quilts with admiration lately because they are so totally different. I have noticed that lots of the quilting is straight line, close together and modular. Might these fit your concept. I think they would be easy to do. Perhaps you could make a sample block and give it a try. You can also draw them on a translucent paper and audition them on your quilt.

Thanks for all the ideas! I am playing with each of them. :)

Why are our furry feline friends (new term here FFF) COMPELLED to climb / sit / lie on our quilts - whenever and wherever they can? Anyway...i love this. Good luck whatever quilting you decide to do.

Beautiful quilt, do what is comfortable for you.

Amount of quilting always goes back to what does the batting maker recommend as the maximum anount needed. SID seems like it would work around the purple but it looks like you ned something in the white area. I would do large meandering

Nice quilt, very well done.

I really like this pattern.

Pretty! Do you want to quilt it with just what you are comfy with, or perhaps go for adding something new to you? Either way, it will be great!
