What a lovely day, even if there had not been any fabric involved. I love going for long drives. We don't get to anymore because of gasoline prices. My parents would ride every Sunday afternoon, (weather permitting) and I often went along.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time.

My husband does that sometimes. I feel like I am kidnapped as he won't say where we are going. After 40 years I've learned to always have a few magazines in the car if I have any idea this might happen.

But he is also the same guy who is amazed how large a stash a person needs.

Also, what did he buy at the tractor store. That's the big question.

He bought nothing LOL! He went to the quilt shop specifiall for me. He noticed the tractor store accross the street when we got there. He tried going in the shop with me, saw all the women, and felt awkward, LOL
1 Poor thing. Then he remembered the tractor store, gave me money, said to have fun for an hour or so, and split! When he came back I was standing in the same place where he left me. The look on his face was priceless! He said, "Um... You didn't move for a whole hour! How long do you need?" little did he know that i'd been on the move the whole time,LOL!!!!

Loved the shop and the people who work there. They are hiring for a full time person to run the quilting machine. Too bad I live in Binghamton, NY!!

Does sound like it was fun. And even more so, at least in my mind, when they can go to another store and browse. I like my space to look at everything and then decide what I really wnat the most. And I love seeing other shops' siplays. I'll be heading to Georgia late in the fall and DH wants to stop at a NASCAR museum so I am looking up some shops (or at least 1) that isn't too far off 79 to 19 to 95 from Jamestown, NY to Pittsburgh, to Charlotte, to Savannah, and almost to Jacksonville FL. SO here is hoping someone will know of a shop within 20 or so miles of that route to give me all kind of choices of shops. Here's to many more Mystery Trips!!!

It's nice to dream, without dreams life would be boring. When I start wishing..."Wish, I could have been there and done that" I just lay down and take myself there in a dream! I put myself in that persons shoes and dream of all the things I would like to do. If I want to go to Italy, for example, I read a book or get on the web and take a virtual tour! When life hands you lemons, make lemonade! :) I love this site! I love to dream of My DH building me a sewing table (He's not a craftsman), or a wooden Ironing board, etc., right now, I'd settle for a job LOL! Seriously, make your world the best you can and it will be great!......and dream.....
