LOL--no doubt!
I've gone to stores for one small item and came out with everything but what I went in there for !

Kryssa 01-28-2011 01:27 PM

Haha I have to go today for a spool of thread. It's likely the same will happen to me :)

Jim's Gem 01-28-2011 01:29 PM

GagaSmith 01-28-2011 01:30 PM

I bought some of that warm and natural batting too. Good deal.

marymay 01-28-2011 02:32 PM

I didn't do so bad at Joann's today I went in for one spool of thread and came out with 6 spools. Then took myself to lunch on the $3.92 that I had left over from the $10.00 that I took from my DH that morning.:-)

IrelandDragonQuilting 01-28-2011 02:33 PM

Wow! Wish Joanns was here! I travel a lot for my job so I get to go to the ones in Colorado once a month.

amma 01-28-2011 02:36 PM

:lol: I would have forgotten the button too :D:D:D

luvstitches 01-29-2011 03:50 AM

You got a chocalate bar?!!!!! Well that just made the trip right there!

CarrieAnne 01-29-2011 04:21 AM

I never have will power anywhere that sells fabric. I THINK I am there for one item, come out with a bag full.

quilt3311 01-29-2011 04:52 AM

Batting followed me home from JoAnns also 50% off was just to good to pass up. Will have batting now for several large quilts plus a couple to cut up for smaller projects.

BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (I can laugh, having done the same thing myself many times!)

Diane C. 01-29-2011 06:00 AM

You should never go grocery shopping when you are hungry! Since quilters are always hungry for more fabric, I don't know of a good time to go to a fabric store! Diane C.

hikingquilter 01-29-2011 06:41 AM

Thank heaven you didn't forget the chocolate! And welcome to the club.

judy_68 01-29-2011 06:45 AM

Exactly. I would have forgotten the button. lol

Caroline S 01-29-2011 07:33 AM

I am going to Joanne's this morning for batting. Don't need any buttons but I know that I will get more than just the batting. And, I will not forget my coupons.

kanakama 01-29-2011 07:43 AM

I do it all the time. Can't pass up a good deal - or chocolate!

Barbshobbies 01-29-2011 07:44 AM

I find if I make a big list for sewing supplies, I never find what I want, how ever if I went for a button, I`d have all the luck in the world to find every thing I need.

craftymatt2 01-29-2011 07:52 AM

HaHaHaHa, oh my i am normal, no more listening to my kids. they are the abnormal ones.

Doreen 01-29-2011 07:58 AM

That always seems to happen to me. I come out with more than what I went in to buy. I need blinders!

AnnieH 01-29-2011 08:03 AM

Only one chocolate bar? Such amazing self-control. Go girl!

Just Jane 01-29-2011 08:26 AM

I don't think you're ALLOWED to only buy one item!

gloria11 01-29-2011 08:34 AM

yeah I'd started on all the other stuff and would of forgotton the button....

joyce888 01-29-2011 08:52 AM

Which is the item you have no will power (ha ha)?

tntgranny 01-29-2011 10:07 AM

Had the same problem - went for a set of buttons for the sweater I knit for my grandson. Needed only 5 buttons. Well...$125.00 later my daughter and I walked out with 4 bags full of fabric, patterns and of course, the buttons.

lynnie 01-29-2011 10:45 AM

good for you David, i do the same thing

Marvel 01-29-2011 11:39 AM

You sound like a very centered quilter. Chocolate helps carry all of the goodies home, Marvel

azdesertrat 01-29-2011 11:42 AM

i went to joanns for that battingalso because it is a heck of a deal-queen size batting normally 24.99 for 10 bucks, but they were all out and giving rainchecks!

Inge 01-29-2011 11:59 AM

Sound like a good trip!!!!

I need plain white buttons for a yo-yo quilt I am making and don't know where to look; just plain white HELP????

Yes, David, but did you get to use the 40% off coupon on the candy bar? That is the only issue I see here. :) :) :)

:) :) :) Was your lack of will power 'giving in to the chocolate'? or giving in to the fabric and batting? :) :) :)
