Tonight I thought I'd try to finish up a UFO that I started back in Dec. I decided to use some ratcheted clamps I just got a few weeks ago and clamp the backing to my dining room table. I clamped each layer together and pinned it.

Boy, what a back saver!! :-D Not only did it work, but I didn't have to get down on the floor to sandwich it!

This is what it looks like. I got 4 of them at home depot in the tool dept. They run about $6 each.

Pretty good idea. I can steal some from my dads workshop, he will never miss them.LOL

I do the same thing with extra large binder clips from the office supply store!

I have used both the clamps and large binder clips. We use the large clamps at church for all our tied quilts.

I've used those for years. They are life-savers. If I had to do it on the floor, I'd still be there because I wouldn't be able to get up. HAHA
