Be accurate with your 1/4" seams. It was my downfall, and I could never get my corners to match up! I invested $5 and bought a little seamstress magnet that attaches on the bed of my sewing machine and I get perfect 1/4" seams every time now!

I love those clips too. But I think my favorite is when one is quilting and has to have chocolate have m and m's haha.

Yeh, the starching process and the basting spray have me lost. i have never done either one and would need a little elaboration to understand why it's done.

Not a quilt reply, but I am commenting on your dogs. I love that picture. I have a little min pin, that was given to me, my daughter thought it would be cute to go with our 90# doberman" Hans" Hans died a day and a half after we got the min pin.

If your fabric is starched before you cut it, your cuts will be more accurate. I use Mary Ellen's or somethingelse I cant name right now that doesnt flake.
Spray basting is done when you layer the quilt so you dont have to pin. I think there are directions on how to do it on here or on the can. Sullivan, 505 are common brands. |
