I have the self-healing martelli 22x34 mat that is yellow on one side and purple on the other. Bought it a few years ago at a quilt show and love it. I have their ruler too, but only use it sometimes.

I have a pink one, but cannot find another like it. It is self healing and I've only used it for 21 years...I need a new one. LOL

I'm astounded at all the Olfa lovers. I can't stand them because of their smell! I bought one once and laid it flat under my couch to store it. I forgot about it, and both my husband and I started to smell something like a skunk and thought maybe someone had run over one. It turned out to be the Olfa. I had to return it. PEE-EEWW! I have a green Omnigrid that doesn't smell and it works really well with all my Omnigrid rulers.

Olfa green mat for me too.

I love my Olfa cutting boards. I have the yellow and pink one that's another brand, and everytime I use it, it leaves little cuts full of lint. For smaller projects I really love my Olfa revolving cutting board.

I like the green Olfa mats and 4luvuvfabric is so right about the awful skunky stench of a new mat. It does go away after a while. I have a small Elan mat that I really like for quilt classes, its thicker than most mats.

I have had 2 clear with blue lines by Dritz and both warped. I too did not want the green one, but finally broke down and bought one and LOVE it. It works very well. I think you would like it once you used it. Good luck in your choice.
