Maybe an Amish type pattern- those colors sound like they would be wonderful set with black.

I like the idea of the double pinwheel on white--a lot faster than pineapple blocks--thanks!--these are really intense, vibrant colors.
Although I admire Amish quilts, I have a hard time working with a lot of black--it's too dark for me. Although I may make an exception in this case. I also love the stained glass window effect, although I may save that for my batik collection. I was very surprised (and pleased) to discover I'd bought the same 16 FQ packs twice. Now it's time to use them! |
what about simple squares & half square trianges?

Beautiful! I never thougt of carpenter's star

There's a post going on now on Trip Around the World quilts with a link to a Quiltville tutorial on making the TATW check it out, making sure to look at some of the pics sent of quilts others have done. Your fabrics would look great in that pattern and you could skip the black.

I made a lone star out of fabric colors that swirled around the star points. I used yellow in the center and the colors went around and out. There was a pattern for this in a quilt book. If you are interested I will look it up.

I've got a lone star pattern lying around here somewhere, thanks for the suggestion.
