Hi, I'm new here.

I made an impulse buy at a quilt show and found out I'd bought the exact same fabric the previous year!

So I have 2 sets of 16 fat quarters--hand-dyed in the most intense colors of the rainbow from a brilliant yellow to deep purple.

This year I have vowed to avoid buying new fabric and use up my stash, as the cupboard doors can no longer be shut.

Fat quarters limit my options--I saw a pineapple pattern in Fons and Porters magazine this month, but I don't know if you can do pineapple blocks with FQ's.

This fabric is so beautiful, I'm afraid to cut it, but it isn't doing anyone any good in the closet.

I'd like to see it in a jewel box with a black background!
I'll going to do one of those someday.

How hard a pattern do you want? Double wedding ring comes to mind, so does a log cabin. Another one is a floral applique or a double pinwheel. A good place to look for patterns would be quilterscache.com

OR you can just send all to me!!!!LOL!!!

Can you do log cabin with FQ's?

Oh, nonononono applique!. *shudder*

I like the idea of double wedding ring, but am afraid of curves, as I am a beginner.

I will check out your website, thanks

You may have to add lights or other contrast. Are these FQs all high intensity?

If you have two sets make a bigger quilt. There are many beautiful patterns out there for rainbow fabric selections.

I think the "Summer Porch" pattern by Quilt in a Day and using black for the lattice would be gorgeous!

Or, a Double PinWheel by Quilt in a day. It's fat quarter friendly and easy once you make the first block.

I think some of the more geometric patterns, like a French braid quilt, would work well.
