What do I do with my king BOM?
 

I made a king BOM last year and gave it to my husband for Christmas because he asked for it. He promptly put it away. We can't put it on our only bed as our one dog has ruined our bedspread by tearing it by digging it. So, how do I display it? I have no room on any walls. Any ideas? It's my pride and joy!!

Do you have a large dining room table that is not used much? I'll be watching with you to see what others come up with.

Is the dog allowed on all furniture? If not, maybe fold it in such a way as to go over the back of the couch. I'd be wanting to display that, too, but it would be a tragedy if poochie gnawed on it. :-/

I guess I want to clarify what I suggested. I meant just for displaying, not for eating on as a tablecloth.:)

Do you have a guest bed you can put it on and close the door? If you don't close your bedroom door (we don't, as there are only 2 of us here), then why not fold it nicely and hang over the master bedroom door to display? Make sure to dust the top of the door first, though. That way its safe and you can still enjoy it daily. Or, if you have room on a hallway wall, fold it over a quilt rack attached to the wall up high, to enjoy it.

Do a search for a quilt rack, then purchase one and fold the quilt and display on the rack.

Totaly understand your concern with the dog. My vote is for the quilt rack to display your quilt. You can still see it and it will be safe from the dog.

I feel for you. i have three cats and have to put two blankets on my bed in winter for them. not me.
a quilt rack, ladder, or sofa are all good ideas. re-fold it often though to show more areas of the quilt. and don't display in direct sunlight. good luck.

You would be surprised how many great dog trainers there are out there that could help you keep the dog from doing this undesirable behavior, even if it is an older dog. Haven't you ever seen Cesar Milan the Dog Whisperer or "It's me or the dog" on NGTV or Animal Planet? I am blessed with a wonderful trainer in my area. She is amazing and can show you how to change behavior in a very short amount of time so it wouldn't be a problem any more. You should try to seek out trainers or animal behavior specialists in your area. Start with your vet and the internet. You will be amazed that with a little effort on your part how many bad doggy habits you will be able to stop. But it requires discipline, effort and consistency.
