It dyes beautifully. No fabric ever gets as soft as muslin
I love the yellow, magenta ,light blue and sea coral dyes. |
I use it to back my rag quilts.

You have a treasure. Hold on to it. I use it for everything including dolls. Lots of people give me their cheesy kid fabric. I make small bags out of that fabric and a lining out of muslin - then put coloring books and crayons in the bags for the hospitals. For everything there is a purpose.....

Goodness! So many great ideas! I have already cut some of it up for charity quilts I am kitting up for our bee on Monday! After it moves with me, I may insure it! LOL!
|
I use it all the time for backing, borders, sashing and ..... I buy it by the bolt. PM me if you want to sell any of it!

I love muslin for piecing and backing.

It dyes nicely, is great for quilt backs or blocks needing white. A Great basic staple fabric. Muslin just gets softer/ nicer with wear, use, laundering. I use muslin often in my quilting

I know you said quilts only, but I have muslin curtains. You could easily "dress up" for 2" squares or applique or whatever. I have a dustruffle with the wider fringe trim on the edges. Nice drop to the floor with a quilt on the bed. Sooo nice! Please consider for your new home you may be surprized at the beauty of same. Actually less time consuming than quilts.

High quality muslim makes great backing for quilts. Especially good for wall hangings and table runners,
