I just call my lawyer...:P

If the cops show up in my sewing room I ask for a warrant !
I don't make anything "perfect" or to a certain specification. If someone wants to nitpick, let them.
It's my work and I put a lot of love into it. So there !!

When I first started, I couldn't afford cotton or polyester batton, so I used fleece blankets from the dollar store (still mostly do) :D

I don't measure my finished quilt for the binding, I go by whatever size the pattern states. And I will cut the joining seam if it is at the corner and redo it.

Sounds like the perfect insulator, to me! I've used blankets for backing (without batting). Easy, quick, and practical! :)

Plain and simple I do things MY WAY!!!!!

If the quilt police don't like it to bad for them.

It has ALWAYS been my motto (crede or whatever you want to call it)
that it's

MY Money
MY Time
MY Space (in my home)
MY Fabric
MY Ideas

I will continue to do things MY way.

However if the quilt police want to step up and and purchasing
ALL my products, pay my rent, pay for MY time and ideas, then
by all means they can put their noses into MY quilting hobby.

Of course this is just my opinion and feelings on the matter of
quilt police.

I detest making pinwheels so now refuse to do it! LOL

They do not even scare me anymore. I grew up in a house (old log house) that we had to throw away the square. Luckily, I now use that square in my quilting. It also must be because my studio is in the dungeon (basement).

If my points stay points and match up I am surprised.

Great thread here but have I missed this one - flipping a seam the opposite way to get it to nest and causing it to twist in the middle?
When I moved from a third floor apartment to the first floor, I just picked up my mat with project and open rotary cutter to carry down the stairs. Started on my way down, tripped, and the cutter fell all the way down. Thank goodness no one was below me and the quilt police were busy elsewhere. :-)
