ANyquilt police can turn around and leave the way they came in and they don't need to let the door hit them in the behind on the way out. If that doesn't do it then a foot that was born in Indiana covered with a boot born in Texas isn't going to be very kind to their behind! I do it my way and anyone else can take the highway! Ok enough with the ramblin' and the rhymin'. Happens when I get tired! Night all!

I don't know how I missed this thread when it was new, but I sure have chuckled through it now.
What I want to know is, why are the Quilt Police running around squashing all the fun? Why aren't they at home making quilts?

Ha my handstitches are not what they used to be, I am a handquilter and handsewing person of many years.( I do have a sewing machine but it is in the garage has been there many, many years) My measuring is off so I have "artistic" (slightly lopsided work). I do not work from patterns but make it up as I go.

Probably in all How To Quilt books.

Ha!!

I may have discovered a new one the other day - pinning a quilt top over another quilt top on the design wall, because I was in a hurry and didn't want to take the first one down just to finish up a baby quilt. I'm sure that's a bad idea for a few reasons, but it worked! Baby quilt got finished just in the nick of time and has been successfully gifted, and the other quilt top is just fine. :)

I love this thread! I get to beating myself up when I see quilts in the Pictures section. Now I know I don't have to be perfect to enjoy my hobby. Part of the problem is being the firstborn and constantly being told to be perfect all my life (66+ years). Never felt like I measured up. Now back to quilting!!
