Sewfine...its called scrappy pineapple. Not sure where I found the pattern but it was easy to make. Ive also made the butterfly blooms from scraps and now working on a Daybreak scrappy and a 4 patch scrappy. For the couple of ladies who said they could use the scraps Ill get them in the mail soon..Im glad someone wanted them because I KNOW Ill never get around to using them...I have loved all the suggestions and comments!~!

I had a heap of really pretty offcuts I bought online as "scraps" from another quilter. They were oriental with flashes of metallic. I paired them with black to make HST and put together a really pretty table runner, which I then handquilted.

Check with some pet stores or shops. Alot of people use them to stuff pet beds. My girlfriend uses them for mini quilts.

I usually use the no waste method but anytime I have those corners to cut off, I sew the second seam 3/8"-1/2" away before cutting. That doesn't take much extra time and the HST is already made. When chain sewing, I leave them together, cut between the stitching and only cut apart the unit I'm using at the time. That way all the similar fabric HST stay together.

If I have a lots left from from a project I work them into a small partial border,I have also pieced them to be Seminole type strips for border or do something on the backing. I used a Holly Taylor print line for Snowballs then put partial borders and checkerboard borders really turned out great. Try doing that-Hope it helps for an idea Jill M |
If they are truely too small to make good use of. I know that there are individuals who collect these and use them as stuffing for dog beds that are donated to shelters and rescue organizations. You might want to seach locally, quilt guilds or ask rescue organizations if they have a donator, to see if any one is doing this kind of generous work for our furry friends.
