What do you do with scraps cut from flying geese blocks?

I have many many "corners" cut when making different blocks such as flying geese. Most of them are from 2 1/2" blocks on top of other sizes and I hate to throw them away. I wont ever use them Im sure but I wondered if anyone knew what to do with them....maybe in a miniature quilt? If anyone wants them let me know and Ill send them for free...The Day Break quilt Im making now has 52 blocks in white and 52 blocks in off white with colors so that's 5 scraps off each block! Any suggestions?

If you use the "No Waste" method for making FGs you won't have any scraps left over!

Whenever I have corners cut off and they are 1 1/2 or bigger- flying geese, snowballs-I sew the pieces together making HSTs.
If I have a lots left from from a project I work them into a small partial border,I have also pieced them to be Seminole type strips for border or do something on the backing. I used a Holly Taylor print line for Snowballs then put partial borders and checkerboard borders really turned out great. Try doing that-Hope it helps for an idea

using Eleanor Burns method you won't have any waste left over. And at the cost of fab these days we sure don't need to be wasting fabric. But yes, you could use those corners in a miniture quilt or table topper or hot pad. There are many options.

I make HST with them and make mini quilts. If you are still giving them away I am interested.

I also give away my tiny scraps. I throw away nothing. A fabric artist I know takes whatever I give her and uses it all. :)

I would use them in miniature doll quilts. you might want to use them for stuffing a doggie bed.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Ive use the "no waste" for flying geese....this pattern is for a scrappy quilt and the blocks I place on top are sewn at a 45 degree angle so I cant use that method. I would never do a miniature quilt so will send them to someone that will use them! Thanks!!

Just pair them up to make HST and make another quilt. I always save them and several times have used them to make other quilts.

Our local quilt shop has a 'pet bed' project and we can take all our scraps there and they are used to make cozy beds for pets. It is amazing how fast scraps accumulate when you save every little piece and it is not so difficult to throw scraps away knowing they are going to be used again for a worthwhile cause.
