Funny though, one of the fabrics I thought was decidedly odd my friend found attractive.

I figured, for the price, I could get a lot of practicing in!

Scrappy quilts! Blend them in with your other scraps and Viola! or Walla! you have yourself a beautiful quilt to give away. No one will even recognize the "uglies" because they will be surrounded by the scraps of your quilts that I am sure are splendid.

Driving you crazy with ugly? Why not make Crazy quilt blocks with them. You can jazz them up with the fun extra's you can get away with on them.

great idea. i am doing this also but giving them to the animal rescue groups (my 2 furbabies were rescues). i had two new premium mattress covers that got melted in the dryer, lots of tshirt fabric and some corduroy that i bought at an estate sale for $2/pc. i have cut pieces everywhere and making pads in between everything else. i will be glad to get them all gone (approx 70 pads).

I love this idea. Will check in to Animal Shelter here to see if they would like them.

i finally got my 3 fabric bundles and yes there are some "different" fabrics in them. before ordering i looked at the fabric lines they carried and thought i would at least get some great prints but it looks like they dug real deep for the prints they sent me.

i will work them into something along the way.

i have also bought blankets at estate sales for about $2 to use as "batting" for some of the pet pads. it's cheaper than real batting & nicely comfy for the pets.

I have a request for those of you who purchased these fabrics. Can you post some pictures? We are following this topic and cannot see what you are talking about. I am wondering how fabric can be so ugly! LOL

And you might get some of us interested in exchanging or buying what you don't like! Thanks!
