Make them into a "pig" quilt (like the one on todays list, using them for the pigs. Pigs are cute and ugly would be lost in their cutenss.

Ugly fabric is like a weed...a misplaced flower. Use it in scrappies and it will add to the beauty of each creation!

Yes it is from Whittles and they are AWFUL! I want to make something out of them since I paid $20 for the fabric but want to make something so that the ugliness won't be so obvious!

I have seen some really ugly fabric turned into great stack and whack blocks, you might look into that.

make a quilt for a poor/homeless person.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I don't have a way to post any pictures of the fabric. I appreciate all your thoughts and I like just going for it and making either a log cabin or strip quilt. I will just see what happens when I start getting it all together. Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it!

I don't know. . .I've seen some ugly quilts. Maybe you can use the ugly blocks for therapy - when someone isn't grateful for the beautiful gift you made for them, or the kids who defied you and are now in trouble, or the "Friend" who totally is no longer your friend - make another ugly block with all the ugly thoughts going through your mind, and in the end, it'll all quilt out and you can look back and say, "This block I made when. . ." and see where you stand in that relationship later on. It may turn out to be the most beautiful thing you've ever done! (I read lots of fiction - with happy endings) :)

I wouldn't spend time/material trying to conceal uglyness.
What to expect from a 10/$5 "surprise" bundle ?
Not surprisingly , a surprise !

If it has a design of any kind, do a fussy cut and put together with other fabrics. You would be surprised how great they can look when you camoflage them with fabric you do like.

If you use them for log cabin strips about 1 1/2" wide they ugly will disappear. If you don't want to go that way the only other solution is DONATE THEM TO YOUR NEAREST GUILD.
