I sit at the computer and check out what others are doing, get excited about something and bookmark it. Then go shopping or check my stash.

Someone posted the same type of problem and I replied I was having the same feelings. Well, Klue posted about her problems, but then shared some things she has made. It made me think about others that are having physical problems and mine didn't compare. So I thought I needed something to REALLY challenging. Well 1/4" is not my best friend(lol), so I decided to do Klue's optical illusion. I've made it and now am on to another project. I plan on posting it very soon.
So my advice is pick something out of your comfort zone and go for it.

Going thru my collection of magazines helps getting the creative juices flowing again, but if that doesn't work I dig out a few pieces of fabric and work on a tote bag.

I go to Google, click on Images, and put in a title for a quilt such as "Patriotic Quilts" and I can get tons of ideas this way. Lots of inspiration can be found by googling "quilt guilds" and looking at their galleries.

Sounds like you need a chalenge, maybe there is a young girl in your neighborhood who would like to learn how to quilt. It is so much fun and inspiration to show others
what you have acomplished over the years.

A challenge always got me back at the machine.

My 'wanna do someday' list is a mile long...so that's not my problem.

I sometimes have a problem when I don't have the ambition to sew anything or don't have a long enough time span to 'get into it'. That's when I try to straighten up the sewing area. Then when the ambition returns or I have a good amount of time to sew again, everything is in it's place.

Make a small gift for someone else. How about a pile of potholders for July 4 ?
