Love this response!! lol But please tell me you only see unique colors & patterns in refrig leftovers & clouds in the sky...not in stains on clothing or dog piles!!

Have you seen the patterns made especially for fabric we hate to cut?? It usually entails larger blocks of a fabric to show it off. I've seen some spectacular ones. One of the books (I thinkd) is titled "Just Can't Cut It" -- or something close. Give it a try. Or make up your own pattern just using large blocks of your fabrics. But remember, a stash forever left as only a stash of pretty fabrics has no usable purpose.

Ok, have not hit a blank wall today, but my machine has gone haywire and needs to go to the shop. I have several proojects that need completed;

18 more VBS costumes by next Sunday, a tablerunner completed, a DQS quilt finished, 6 more pillowcases, 6 Little Dresses for Africa, and a few WIPS I would like finished. Oh, and finish my tote bag.

So, I have hit a wall of sorts. I am so frustrated. Guess I will go garden and pull weeds.

When I have only a short amount of time and "need" to spend some time in my sewing room I make a potholder. I practice different quilt blocks, stipple quilting, etc. and get the satisfaction of a finished project done in a short time. I always keep a supply of these fun potholders and anyone who cares to visit my sewing room gets a small homemade gift. Everyone loves them!

I usually am tired of the colors in my stash and need inspiration so travel about 90 miles (country miles) and look at fresh and bright colors and new fabrics in quilt stores.

I just finished a Grandmothers Dream quilt and am in the same place so I took part in making book bags for economically disadvantaged kids that are preschoolers to get them reading. I embroidered different sayings....What I suggest is fresh ideas, a different color pallette and maybe doing some small projects for others whether church group, quilt group, guild, til you feel refreshed and get your batteries charged. If you like soft colors try bright, etc. Or don't sew for a while work outside til the weather turns icky. I just got an email saying I need to start working on Halloween and Christmas projects, wasn't that mean?!!!!HAHA.
