I give some of mine to little girls for there dolls. They love them and they are the right size. I also use them as table toppers. Aren't they fun to make ?

I have those for our keys and small things, but to hang my Fine Art is another. Pictures are just too heavy to use them. I don't care what they claim as to how much weight they'll hold. When earthquakes hit, I'm not wanting a $5000 painting, not to mention the irreplacable frame to fall and hit the floor.

Hi, I have an child's antique rocking chair in our living room. One of my doll quilts is drapped on the back and I have a home-made rag doll siiting in the chair. It gives a noce effect when you walk into the room and is a conversation piece. I love making the doll quilts and plan to make a slew of them for Christmas gifts.

Chamby go to the October Doll Quilt Swap thread and you can see the links for all of the Doll Quilt Swaps.

Basicly you post on the thread if you want to join the swap. The guidelines are listed on the first page. Then Chele will partner you with someone and you make a little quilt between 12" x 12" up to 24" x 24" and any size in between. Then you send your quilt to the person you were partnered with and they send theirs to you. A lot of people add a little some thing fun in with the quilt when they send them but you don't have to.

It is fun! And you get back a beautiful little quilt to enjoy!

Here is the link for the Oct Swap

I am jumping in here to tell you I received my Sept doll quilt from Moosegirl and it is super. The colors and material choices are perfect for me.....Of course I did tell her my favorite colors and that I loved teddy bears and cats...well, she also sent a handsome teddy and some sweet cat material.

I sure hope she likes my choices as well as I liked hers. I will try to post pictures soon. Not sure about doing it but Chele has offered help so I will certainly try.

I read this page and am just slightly jealous of those of you who have wonderful sewing rooms and places to display these lovely little works of art. I sew in my bedroom and it's too long a story, but sewing there has worked out.

So I am going to be like tirnhi, and just put them on my dresser and pet them as I go by. Well, I do have a guest room where all my bears live and I have one little quilt under a bear on the bed. Maybe he can sit on a few more????

All the little quilts I've seen are just marvelous....you are all wonderful quilters..........Swimmer Girl

We have a miniatures (doll house) org here and I bet they would love to buy some little quilts!

I'm like Terri, I have to pet my doll quilts on a daily basis. I have so many gems. They're going on the walls as soon as I am done petting. I love seeing the backs, binding, etc. I turn them over and over and wish I could quilt as well as my partners. These doll quilts are so special. I love that everyone is thinking of ways to use them! As long as I don't have to get some scary dolls...
