I used to keep in plastic shoe box in rolls but now I actually sew them end to end in whatever color comes next and whenever I have a scrappy quilt I use the binding.

I'm still using up my GRANDMOTHER's leftover bias binding. I make it into hanging loops for pajamas I make for my kids, for hemming those pj's (my older son grew so much while I was making a pair that by the time I got to hemming, there wasn't enough to turn up). You can use it for appliqué stems and vines. Do try to use it, so your granddaughter won't have to ;p

Scrappy bindings look great on scrappy quilts! I just rcently used up all of my left over binding!

I knew you all would give me some good ideas...... I've been meaning to make some potholders from those blocks that I stitched but never put into a quilt....and I really need to make a scrappy quilt to use up some stash.

If I had that much I would save it to use in the rugs I make.
|
Make striped quilt blocks from them.

I love all these ideas. I have just been sticking mine in a jar.

I make string quilts with left overs.
|
I keep mine rolled in a box. As I sew a lot of things I am always needing it.
