Like most everyone here - I do a small project or make scrappy binding on a quilt.
|
I also use it to make "handles" on wall hangings. I sew loops of binding on the back of the hanging and use them to anchor the wall hanging. It makes the quilt drape better.

Make jelly roll quilts with them

Along with the scrappy binding ideas ... press it back open/flat and who says bias strips can't be used in place of "on the grain" strips? Just be mindful of working with the bias!!

This is a pic of a purse made with bias binding. I stitched the binding onto a piece of muslin...using scrap binding could be very interesting if color coordinated, as well as scrappy!
p.s....not sure if I also used batting. <3 |
I put them in a gallon sized glass jar which sits on a display shelf in my sewing room. Sometimes I use them for small projects, but otherwise, they are pretty to look at.

Looks like a lot of us use it on our scrappy quilts. Lots of good ideas here.

Depends on width but it might be the beginning of a string quilt.

Make some potholders and use it as binding around them.
