My sewing room is only 8.5'x11'. In it, I have a very large sewing/cutting table, A rolling chair, a mid-arm quilting machine with a 10' frame and an ironing board and iron. Basically, everything is close by in my sewing room.

I have an old Singer with 3 drawers on one side and cubby on the other to put everything I need. on top is pin cushion which I made , scissors and of course a seam ripper. My Gammill is behind me and 2 tables together to work on a quilt I love my sewing room

Absolutely! My sewing buddy did something similar buying a very cute painted one at Joann's. One thing we discovered is that it seems to work better if the walls of the caddy are kind of deep. Mine is around 5 inches. Hers was only around 4 inches and her tools flop around a bit more than she would like. If you run across some a store, try placing something in it and get an idea of how well the depth will work for your tools.

I have my old treddle Singer, with my Bernina on top. Then my serger at a right angle. I have nice shelves for all my WIP's. I have a kitty, a TV, Diet Coke, lots of thread snippets, a trash can, and a window to look at the beautiful red mountain.

Good idea and very nice. I might look for something like that as my sewing area is cluttered and I can never find things easily.

I've got multiple scissors, rotary cutters, and even two spray bottles in there, and MOST important, the Seam Rippers! I also made the little pin cushion which buttons onto the end.

I too keep all my hand tools ,scissors , ripper, pencils,rc etc to the right of my machine and a rc mat to the left. On the far left end of my table is an old core from a bolt of fabric I recovered with batting and muslin with my iron so I can press seams as soon as I sew a full set. I have a peg board wall behind me with all my bigger rulers and templates and other tools and then in what used to be the closet my hubby installed shelves and there I keep all my books . The west wall is shelving for my fabric stash with batting on top and at the end of the room is an island hubby made which holds more tools, my stereo and my kitten, LeLu who loves to snuggle in a freshly ironed stack of quilt blocks!!

I have a set of stacked drawers where i keep my threads and notions with a couple of drawers designated for my scraps of fabric; i have a bulletin board where i have hung a small wall hanger that i made from remnents and clear vinyl (three rows of three pockets) that hold my scissors, ripper, tape measure, stiletto, rotary cutters, pencil, 6" ruler, etc - all within easy reach. I also have a small "trash" bag that i made that has a lip that slides under my machine so i can change it from my sewing machine to my serger (really need to get around to making another one). My DH just bought me a Bernina 730E :D so I'm sure I'm going to have to add to my list!!!
