Mostly Santana. Stevie Ray Vaughn & John Lee Hooker. Like the blues & the mellow sounds of Carlos. Also Earl Thomas Connelly- The Essentials.

I like to listen to country gospel or just country music. I'm afraid to turn the TV on get distracted and sew or cut my finger off. But that's me there are probabley women that can do both....How talented!

This was a great question and I am going to love the radiolovers.com website! I just discovered Pandora as a free app on my IPhone and listen to the Bubblegum DooWop list or the Broadway list.

I listen to audiobooks on my MP3 player (love that my library has downloadable audiobooks for checkout), or nothing.

Just like you I listen to old and new American country and folk music in my CD and tape collection when I am stitchin away. But when I really have to concentrate I like just my own company, nothing else. I also love the many BBC phone-in programmes we get here in Britain, they are very entertaining sometimes.

I don't have anything going, just the sewing machine humming. God bless.

Ada Shiela 08-17-2010 03:55 PM

I listen to the rhythm of my machine and enjoy watching pattern take shape; thoughts of other things to make - a waste of electricity if only half listening to radio or tv and less chance of making mistakes because of being distracted!!

I listen to books on tape while I am actually quilting. When I am planning, I need silence. When I am cutting or piecing, I play music, whatever fits the mood of the day.

I went today for my stress test and they had these oldies playing and when the test was over I asked her what she had playing and she said Pandora on the internet. I came home and I have listened too golden oldies all evening since I got back. Can't seem too add other kinds of music for some reason. I had Under the Board walk and Charlie pride both playing at the same time. Had too delete both programs and go back too this station for the golden oldies

Love Susan Boyle new cd, listen to gospel, country, bluegrass, jazz, polka and some classic. Sometime I will put a movie in and listen to that while I sew. Sometimes it is just peace and quiet that I like. I rarely turn the tv on unless there is a good football game on!

I crank the tunes! 80's rock, country, and instrumentals.

I sing along but, do not look for me to make it big! LOL!
