Oh my. I might have to try this on a small quilt. At 13.00 a can for the basting spray, I would love to find an alternative!

Really? That stuff is cheap. If this works for me, I am going to send you a FQ for giving me the idea.

I hope that it works for you, please let us know.

O well I still use it for both jobs!

It washes right out of our hair, so I'm sure it will wash right out of a quilt. What a clever idea. :)

I use spray baste vs. pins or basting stitches.

Makes sense to me. Is sure affordable, I can afford to baste the charity q, crib, lap sizes that I do for old soldiers and kids in need.

I use pins only. :-D

My next quilt will be basted by a machine quilter for $10 to $15. She quilts in a grid of 4 inches. Hope it will work as I hate to put the thing together.

I swear by the 505 spray, and I trained hubby to do my spraying. Aqua-net?? Seriously??? Hrmm I need to add that to my grocery list!

I use 505 basting spray and quilter's safety pins which have a slight bend in them and are easy on the hands. Also they don't rust if you live in humid climate like I do.

I like large safety pins and I have Kwik Clip to help me. It took me a bit to figure out how to use it, but now I can't live without it.
