What do you use to keep your foot pedal from moving around?

I bought a pedal mat from somewhere and it's a complete piece of junk. Not only does the pedal slide around on the mat, the mat slides around on the floor. Is there something better?

I just use masking tape to tape it to the floor. It works just fine.

If you have carpet, put a strip of Velcro on the bottom, the side with the hooks.

I use a piece of the shelf liner , that rubber kind on my wood floor and it help.

I read somewhere to put a rubber band around it and it would keep it from sliding; I tried it and it helped but didn't stop it completely.

I press it up against a leg of a table or shelf liner non slip on base.or sandpaper glued on base if possible.

I just realized I put presser foot in the subject line when I meant foot pedal. Oops. I wonder if a mod can fix that for me.

I don't think I have a solution for you, but this may help someone else.

I had a similar problem - except that my pedal kept getting stuck under my Horn cabinet as I pressed it, so when I got to the end of a seam, it wouldn't stop!

I tried all sorts of things - wedging books and blocks of wood in the gap etc. - until I eventually hit on the idea of a metal L-shaped book end (a plastic one may work, but more likely to break). I simply placed the pedal on the larger side of the book end and it rests against the frame of my cabinet, but is too tall to slide under - hooray!

You tape your foot pedal to the floor?

I have tile. BUT maybe a throw rug with a rubber backing would help.

Thanks everyone for the ideas!!

I use an old computer mouse pad and that helps, moves some but only have to reposition it once a day instead of every hour
