What Do You Want for Christmas?

What quilting tool, ruler, gizmo or whatever do you want for Christmas?

Give me some ideas!

I want a quilt ladder to hang quilts on.......

sewingitalltogether 11-10-2016 11:16 AM

I'd like a new standing lamp for my sewing room.

tapper 11-10-2016 11:22 AM

I am asking Santa for a new 24" ruler and some new blades.

Tartan 11-10-2016 11:25 AM

I've have my Bernina # 72 ruler foot and rulers on order. I have my fingers crossed I will have them by Christmas.

QuiltnNan 11-10-2016 11:39 AM

the talent to do FMQ LOL

daisydawg 11-10-2016 11:40 AM

would like a new cutting mat. need suggestions on what kind to get.

NZquilter 11-10-2016 12:12 PM

Lots of fabric and some rulers, including the easy angle ruler:)

Peaster 11-10-2016 12:19 PM

Fabric, more feet for my sewing machine, wood table for my machine (its on a card table right now), and a lOT of time. :-) I have 2 little ones so yeah... I have way more ideas than time.

Onebyone 11-10-2016 12:26 PM

I can't think of anything. Maybe some new dies for my Go. My rag die is showing it's age.

quiltingcandy 11-10-2016 12:28 PM

What I would really like is a sewing buddy so I get more done. My first buddy is 90 now and doesn't see well enough to sew anymore, and she gets too depressed to sit and talk with me while I sew. My other buddy moved to Phoenix, we get together at least once a year to have a "retreat" in Vegas. Sometimes when she is in town she will come over and use my embroidery machine. It's amazing what we got done when we sewed together and encouraged each other.

Just to make enough money for cataract surgery so I can keep quilting.

osewme 11-10-2016 01:03 PM

You didn't specify if our wish had to relate to quilting so since I think I have pretty much all I need in the quilting realm right now my wish is for a large tin of cinnamon popcorn from The Popcorn Factory. I love that stuff. A co-worker at work gave me a big tin of it for Christmas about 15 years ago & I absolutely fell in love with it. I won't buy it for myself but sure wouldn't reject a gift from Santa! :)

Help to clean, organize, and declutter my sewing areas.

I want a sewing room...not a sewing space, a whole room!

sandrab64 11-10-2016 03:10 PM

Supplies to hand dye my own fabric!

marge954 11-10-2016 05:27 PM

Another Ott Lite because one just isn't enough!

LAQUITA 11-11-2016 01:11 AM

A good friend to sew with, retreat with, shop hop with, laugh & cry with (if need be) oh Santa please ...

K-Roll 11-11-2016 01:20 AM

My impossible Xmas wish is for original old-style presser feet for my Bernina 830 Record, which I bought used with only the presser foot it came with.
I'm hoping Santa drops off a few in my local thrift store just as I'm about to enter.

And about 10 more hours in every day.

Karamarie 11-11-2016 04:43 AM

I would like a quilting cupboard or shelves for my quilts and I think I may get it. Hubby is going to make me one from old boards from a 100 year old shed on our farm. Nothing fancy just an open cupboard - no doors. Go Santa!

You read my mind!

GC's from Lens Mill or Fabricland (hey we're both in Ontario :D) The Westalee system for my Pfaff, a housekeeper so that I can spend more time in my sewing room and less on day to day stuff. And me four on the FMQ thing!

FabQuilter 11-11-2016 05:50 AM

The Westalee sewing system is on my wish list as well

For me - a gift card to my favorite Local Dealer/Quilt Shop. Last years card was very generous (double what I asked for) so helpfully my husband will do it again. That's about as long as he wants to be there and as far as he will go into it on his own.

I would wish for less pain so I can actually sit and sew.

AuntyLynn 11-11-2016 08:04 AM

I asked Santa for a SewEasy table. My wonderful daughter is helping me organize, clean and get my sewing room ready to move my longarm back in.

tessagin 11-11-2016 08:15 AM

A gift card so I can go shopping at my lqs.

A sewing table that the machine drops down into, so every thing is 1 level. Diane C.

Me too, I basically have 5 Sq ft. and maybe not even that. 50lbs crap in a 10lb house, and it is not all mine by far.

tesspug 11-11-2016 09:48 AM

FQ bundle of 1930's repro fabric. Had to show pics of what I wanted to DH as he did not understand a word when I told him. He's pretty good at getting me what I want, but doesn't speak "fabric."

I see these on e bay all the time!

I would just like to be able to spend more time at the sewing table without so much pain from arthritis. I was thinking of trying the new emu cream.

Peace / Piece / Piecing / Piece

World Peace or heck even American Peace

Piece of chocolate every day

Piecing all the projects that are in my mind, one my desk, in my cabinets and on my shelves

Piece of my heart to my hubby everyday forever and ever

Pennyhal 11-11-2016 10:41 AM

Oh, I get thread.

Anne P 11-11-2016 11:00 AM

Like Tartan, I'd love the #72 Bernina ruler foot and some rulers. I called my local Bernina shop to inquire about them, but was told it's not available right now. However, the person who might know more about them was busy so I'll have to call back.
Meanwhile, I'm asking for some more hexagon and EPP templates.

A cleaning fairy for the house.

AND

A moving fairy to swap my sewing space with my art studio since I'll be spending the next year working on a collaboration with another artist that involves lots of sewing, thread painting and FMQing on my part--and my tiny little 8' x 8' sewing space in the doorway between the guest room and my office is proving to be a hindrance when I have to have many different parts of our collaboration going at once. It would make so much sense to have a whole room devoted to sewing for the next year, but the effort involved in making the swap is pretty overwhelming at this point.

Not that I'm greedy or anything LOLOL!

Rob
