I apologize if this has already been asked, but I was wondering what it is that you do that makes you a "quilter"? Do you piece tops, hand quilt, machine quilt, all of the above. I was just curious. I love making the tops, but it takes me a while to get the batting and backing on. I recently purchased a mid-arm quilting machine, but have quilted most of them on my sewing machine. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I hand quilt but am learning machine quilting. I machine piece, learned hand piecing but would much rather use my machine. Love applique, by hand and machine, love paper piecing, hate basting and binding! lol

I am a quilter because I love fabric. I love cutting it up and sewing it together in new and pretty ways. I love making quilts for my family. I machine piece and machine sew.

I have hand quilted but these days enjoy machine quilting. I LOVE fabric and love to see the designs of whatever I am making "come together". I find quilting such a creative outlet for me and so relaxing and fun!

Because I like it.

I'm kind of like littlehud, I enjoy the whole process as long as I'm deciding what to make from my fabric. I don't like working on a commision(sp?). Plus I all I think about is quilting. I need 5 of me to be able to complete all the ideas in my head. I machine piece and machine quilt.

I love it all! Love to have different kinds of projects. I have 3 applique projects going and 4 machine quilts going 1 on commission, 2 for grandkids, 1 BOM, I love to do commission work and fill in with personal.

Love it all except the sandwiching. Recently paid my LA to baste 3 quilts for me - what a time saver!
