Speaking of hugs.... Thanks for everyone who offered help with my PinWheel projecf. Tried and tried, but I still had no luck and threw it out. I then discovered it wasn't my fault. My old cutting map is so scratch and marked up that every is off kilter. I'm spending my cash this month on a new mat and a rotary sharpener. Thanks agato every one was full of tips and encouraged me. Great group of quilters here!

That's sew sweet! You are very blessed to still have Mom around. I too taught my mother to sew (not quilt) when I was 17 (now well into my early 60s). Four years later she made my sister's wedding gown! Guess I taught her good. I lost her 8 years ago and it still hurts.

That is such a sweet story! Good for her that she is keeping herself busy and that she is making mug rugs. Nice, quick, satisfying, small project that is easy to tackle at any age.

GOOD FOR HER...not just sitting around getting "rusty" lol :)
