Good luck on finding the pattern for the first one. I tried drawing it in EQ and didn't get it right. Could you tell me what size the block finished at? That would help, but I still don't think I can do it. Perhaps take the picture of the quilt to one of the office supply places (Staples, Office Depot, etc) and get them to print the a block from the quilt at the size you want to make the block. Then you can at least make some templates to get you started. I really believe that was a template quilt.

For me, you are proving why a label with all pertinent info is so very important. I have to admit that I haven't been putting them on my quilts, but I am going to have to decide to just do it. It is very frustrating to look back and can't find the info when you want to recreate one.

Similar to Bonnie Hunters Star struck that is shown in the pictures in this digest. You could substitute I think

Laura in Montreal, if you can give me the finished size of a block in The Magic Blanket Quilt my brother says that he will be able to draw the templates for you.

After looking at this for a while, I think it can be paper pieced. I have to give this a try. Will get to it!
peace

I took a shot at it in EQ, what do you guys think?

Here's the block.

Paper-piecing would probably be best; it has some odd angles.

Peckish 04-16-2017 12:19 PM

Nope, I got a couple of the angles wrong, hang on....

They aren't exactly the same, but it's somewhat similar to Eleanor Burn's Day and Night pattern.

Peckish, you figured that out perfectly. I tried and couldn't get the angles right. Thanks for sharing with
us.

Edited to add... I saw the new pictures after I posted this. The second pictures are much more accurate. EQ is a great program. I'll try drawing out almost any type block to get the experience.
