Good luck on finding the pattern for the first one. I tried drawing it in EQ and didn't get it right. Could you tell me what size the block finished at? That would help, but I still don't think I can do it. Perhaps take the picture of the quilt to one of the office supply places (Staples, Office Depot, etc) and get them to print the a block from the quilt at the size you want to make the block. Then you can at least make some templates to get you started. I really believe that was a template quilt.
For me, you are proving why a label with all pertinent info is so very important. I have to admit that I haven't been putting them on my quilts, but I am going to have to decide to just do it. It is very frustrating to look back and can't find the info when you want to recreate one. |
Similar to Bonnie Hunters Star struck that is shown in the pictures in this digest. You could substitute I think

Laura in Montreal, if you can give me the finished size of a block in The Magic Blanket Quilt my brother says that he will be able to draw the templates for you.

After looking at this for a while, I think it can be paper pieced. I have to give this a try. Will get to it!

I took a shot at it in EQ, what do you guys think?
Here's the block. Paper-piecing would probably be best; it has some odd angles. |
Nope, I got a couple of the angles wrong, hang on....

They aren't exactly the same, but it's somewhat similar to Eleanor Burn's Day and Night pattern.

I saw the new pictures after I posted this. The second pictures are much more accurate. EQ is a great program. I'll try drawing out almost any type block to get the experience. |
