A long, fully lined wool men's coat. I made it for my DH about 9-10 years ago, and he's worn it maybe 5 times. Oh, and my wedding dress, of course.
I love my flannel quilts, they're the ones everyone fights over. However, I used Moda flannel. The one I made for my youngest son has been washed A LOT; he had a medically-caused bed-wetting issue for a while. The binding corners are starting to wear, but it hasn't pilled yet. |
Any garment made of fleece. I just finished a fleece hoodie for my son with zippered pockets. Finally had to unearth leather needles to go through all the layers and the zipper.

Oh this is an easy question.
Ever try to do a bias binding with lame? Well don't. |
Never, ever, ever, ever again embroider pre-printed cross stitch quilt blocks.

I did buy a alot of flannel from Joann's this year, as I am making quilts for a good cause. I am not washing them because the first batch I washed they pilled. I will never buy flannel from Joann's again. I wish I didn't buy so much, but like everything , LIVE and LEARN>

If it doesn't have to be quilt related, I'll say Barbie doll clothes. I think my hands are just too big.

An I-Spy quilt made from hexagons and triangles. Loved it when done but next I-Spy will be much simpler.

A stuffed animal made of Minkee. I just threw away a half-finished puppy I was trying to make by an old Carol's Zoo pattern. I can't remember the last time I just gave up on something, but geez, what a headache!

I made a log cabin 20 years ago and said "Never again". Now I have my dark scraps all set in strips and am taking them with me on a long Motor Home trip this winter. Funny thing is, I chose this pattern on purpose because I would have to think while I pieced. I can just piece when I am in the mood to sew. Never is a long time.
