Donna Jordan, Jordan Fabrics, has a YouTube how-to she calls Carpener’s Wheel. She has an older one that I couldn’t find, same pattern, bigger squares/hst’s. I’ve made several as baby quilts with 4.5” blocks. I added an extra round to make them a little bigger. I also made one using 6.6” blocks for a queen size bed. It’s one of my favorite layouts.

I saw one today but didn't get the name of it. It was hanging on a wall, no pattern or I would have bought it. Oh, and its a BIG star.....not a bunch of star blocks. Most people make a bunch of swoon blocks for their quilt. All you need to do to make it a "BIG star" is enlarge the pieces. |
