is only HSTs and squares?
I saw one today but didn't get the name of it. It was hanging on a wall, no pattern or I would have bought it. Oh, and its a BIG star.....not a bunch of star blocks. :) Thanks! |

Is it Buggy Wheels?
Look at "Ninnie"'s post here dated June 21,2010, for a wonderful scrappy 12"buggy wheels block |
Don't know the size of the quilt you saw, but they do make a version of the Carpenter's Star in all HSTs and squares. Like the "Not your Grandmothers XXX" patterns. It tends to be a little larger than the traditionally made Carpenter's Star.

This is one I did of the pattern called No Diamonds In The Sky.

My avatar is all hst and squares. I didn't get it from a pattern, so don't know what it would be called. I just played around with ideas on graph paper until I got something I liked.

pittsburghpam - do you recall where you found the No Diamonds in the Sky pattern? It's so pretty and nice that it's hst construction.
PS: your tutorial on mitered borders has been so helpful! |
I got it at Hancock's, they have it for $7.98. I've seen it lots of other places too. The directions are great.
http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/Item--i-CCNDS Thanks about the mitered corners. They turn out pretty good when I do them like that. |
