What scissors do you keep at your machine to snip threads, etc?

I use my bent-handle scissors for several reasons:

they are easy to pick up as they are not flat on a surface;

the cutting blade lay flat to cut threads;

they are really sharp for cutting off the ears and trimming;

if they get lost under fabric, their bend lets you know where they are hiding; and

they are short and light-weight.

If you have a pair, give them a try. I think you will like them.

I use whichever ones I can find.

Some of my "newer" favorites are manicure scissors that I bought through e-bay when the airlines were confiscating them.

Whichever ones are closest;). I even use my seam ripper to cut threads if it's the only thing handy.

I grab whatever pair is closest to hand. I have several pairs lined up beside me on my right on my old treadle top. I have my Bernina in front of me and my treadle sits to my right forming an L alcove.

I have a pair of cuticle scissors because it's small and sharp, and I like the curved blade that lets me cut closer.

I use a Mundeal thread sniper. I have had it for many many years.
I like it because it is easy to fit my hand, and has some heft to it.

I was using a small pair of Fiskars, I think the 4" and a couple of weeks ago I bought a pair of Gingher snips and I have been using those.

I use squeezers. I have at least a half dozen of them bought at different places, curved and straight ones. A pair everywhere I look, but my favorite pair is usually close by wherever I'm working.

I like them better than small scissors, have you ever got your fingers tangled up in a small pair of scissors?

I have a pair of Gingher snips that are my favorites. I also have several pair of small scissors (embroidery, cuticle, etc) that i keep by my machines for a quick snip. I have a pair of Squeezers that I was given as a gift. I've never like them. Mine don't seem to cut that well.
