Have you thought about doing some pinwheels or alternating 9 patches for the next border. Sometimes, too many "just" 1 fabric borders begins to look a bit out of place. The piecing can be on each side of two corners, or the entire side of a border or 1 color on two attached sides and a different color on the other two sides. Just some ideas.....This Yahoo search shows a lot of options. https://images.search.yahoo.com/sear...lts&fr=yfp-t-s

edited to add: I see others had similar ideas. Your quilt is very pretty as it is but I do understand wanting a quilt in a size that can be used. I know you will pick something pretty.

I agree with those who are suggesting pieced blocks. Sometimes adding border after border is a very boring look, especially when you consider the size of the center.

If you don't want to pice a border, maybe use two fabrics, one for top and one side, and the other for bottom and other side.

Sorry the picture is horizontal. I could not figure out how to turn it!!! [Quote]

When I right click on the picture and then click on "view image", it usually turns the image right side up. This time that did not work with the first picture, but did work with the "Attachment". I find it calming to see the picture right side up, although yours looks good either way.

This is a good idea. Sometimes too many wide borders leads to waviness of the border. Pieced blocks aren't as stretchy as a wide strip of fabric, thus make waviness less likely.
