I make all sizes, but I guess wall hangings and runners or toppers are what I make the most for they are usually given as gifts.

I envy all of you queen size quilters! My projects are usually very similar in size to the oversized lap quilts mentioned above...just under a twin and smaller. I make many more small projects in between though, I get bored quickly and have to be REALLY in love to continue on with a big project and actually get it finished.

I'm new to quilting, but I've made baby quilts and lap quilts the most. I wish I could quit my day job and quilt all day! :-)

I usually do crib size for all the babies and lap size, sometimes I do make more rows if I feel it is too small.

Large lap quilts - 65x85 - I like to be able to snuggle right up and be totally covered and wrapped like a burrito lol. I have made a smaller lap (45x65) for my very..."vertically challenged" Grandmother ;)

most are baby/crib size, some are lap quilts.

Bed size quilts, mostly queen size.

[I go by my husband, he's 6'4" and if it completely covers him up and it's wider than his arm-span, that's the size I usually finish at.[/quote]
Hahahahaa, I thought I was the only one who used a tall person as a size guide! I'm tall and I hate cold feet, so I tend to make 'longer' quilts. Most are either a generous twin or queen size. Now, having said that, right now I have a monster King size on the frame that I'm going to add the borders to after the center is done! (it didn't fit on the frame if I added them first) |
lap quilts 50x65 and big twins 102x 80
