I am not sure on the shoe extenders, but your Martha Washington sewing/tool box is quite valuable. Research, and refinish with expertise help. Friend who has an antique store, sells them for over $450. in good condition, and I saw one for $700 sold at a quilt show. Lucky you. Enjoy

Shoe stretchers or for darning socks

I would say they are shoe trees,
sometimes used to stretch new shoes.
Enjoy.

They are shoe trees for ladies shoes. Shoe lasts are expandable that are in the shape of the foot, that they shape the shoe over when they make shoes. google it.

They look like something one puts on shoes.

They are shoe trees. My aunt kept them in all her shoes
so shoes would not get mashed .
