What are these templates for?
1 Attachment(s)
I came across these templates somewhere but cannot remember where. What are they used for? Marking a quilt top? cutting out fabric? Marking Baptist fan pattern on top for quilting? Hmmmm
I know someone here on the forum has an answer. |
Wish I could help you. I am curious too.

They look like Dresden patterns.

before the acrylics a company called Ardco made aluminum templates, I think I still have an applecore.

Designing parts of circles with uncommon measurements?
Take the 45° and add the 15° to either side. 15 and 45 are 60° but with the added 15° you wind up with 75° arc which is not common. Draftsmen would use a protractor, a quilter might not. I could see using the 45° as a main template in a dark color and the 2 15° as a lighter color making a different looking flower. That might not be so easy to measure. I could have some fun using something like that to lay out quilting, too. All the unusual with half the work. |
Would they be template for a Mariner's Compass pattern?

Can you post a clear picture of what the 120 template says?

Maybe for doing scalloped borders?

I googled "Extra Special Products" and found that slogan on other products, but found nothing that looked like these. |
