I use hemostats to pull my needles through the fabric. (My husband is a retired physician so I have several pairs of these at home.) But the yellow 'toy' sure likes it is fun to use! :)

I have 8-10 hemostats because I use them when making my dolls, so now I have yet anther use for them. I like my fingers and thumbs so I do less stitches so I can pull the thread thru easily. Thanks for sharing everyone.

It is a needle puller when you have many stiches on the needle. No you don't really need one. I use a piece of rubber that is used to wrap around your arm when having blood drawn. I just cut 11/2 pieces from the strip and it is free all you need to do is ask if you can keep it.
