I have the Gracy II with a Brother 1500s with a 9" throat. My Gracy frame will take a machine with a throat up to 16 ". The frame is 103" long.

Have you checked out Diane Gaudynski? she uses a regular sized domestic sewing machine and with tons of practice, moves the quilt around even queen size and does gorgeous freemotion feathers and elaborate designs...

The other option is to learn to quilt in sections. I did that until I got a longarm, and was able to quilt any size quilt that way. (This is not the same as QAYG.)
