Thread snips and scissors and seam ripper.

Don't forget glue and painters tape!

Beeswax is used to strengthen thread so you can it through those needle eye holes that you can hardly see! It keeps it from flopping down just as you think it should be going straight through the hole. Just as you are starting to have your eye cross. LOL

Some of the above PLUS one of my very favorite things, Fork Pins by Clover. These are two-pronged pins (think bobby pin shape). Place your pieces together, butt the seams, and pin with one of these. I am picky about my piecing and using these have really helped with perfect joins and points.

How, pray tell, do you use fabric softener sheets when hand sewing??? FYI Before I re use my dryer sheets, I take a bunch of them and soak in sink till all the remainder of product (and perfume) soak out, then when dry. press them with a very low heat iron. Works wonders for crazy quilt foundation block. :D |
I want a good ruler and Creative Grids are my choice. I love being able to see thru them and I cut more accurately because of them.

I love all sorts of notions, but I am always drawn to the new rulers. They can make such easy work of a project, then cutting matts and cutters. That reminds me, I need a new for quilt camp
