Upholstery material given to me by a friend who had boxes of samples. Loosely woven drapery material that needed to be stabilized before I could use it. Polyester knits, wild rayon prints, nylon windbreaker material and terry towelling as part of a memory quilt! I enjoy the challenge...

Gold lame in a table runner. I've used it for binding tree skirts as long as it's cut on the bias with no problem, but I didn't like working with it flat in the runner.

Several thousand years from now. Archaeologist will be digging up some old historical site. And find a quilt made out of this material and wonder how it managed to stay so "Well preserved."........LOL

I made a lot of polyester quilts in the late 70s for a local nursing home. I didn't consider that weird at the time because that's what they wanted and I didn't consider sewing 8" squares together quilting. I wonder if any are still in use.
