I love your fabric! It really is too pretty to cut. Maybe you just want to border it? Or it might look good with a four patch of your two solids and then a piece of the focus fabric cut the same size, alternated? I am sure that pattern has a name, but I don't know what it is. I have a picture of a quilt where I just couldn't cut the fabric, and I think I have a picture of the other too. Let me look.

I have similar fabric, and I bought it for a kaleidoscope quilt.

Wow ladies. You are all amazing. Not only I have enough ideas for this fabric but a lot of cute quilt patterns to add to my list. Thank you so very much. Now I should make up my mind and hopefully I can start today after I get my shopping done for tomorrow's dinner for me and the kids (hubby is overseas so yes it is just us three ):
Happy and blessed thanksgiving to all of you ;-) |
Side lights could be very nice, I think you could fussy cut both big and small squares to have an interesting scene on each. Or just use one piece and add some thread painting or FM quilting using interesting threads. i could not cut up that print.
Happy Turkey Day and thank your husband for his service. Hope you get to Skype tomorrow. |
I was thinking you should make a barn block out of the red as your center - and use the green as the outside border.... Your quilting could make it really interesting...

I would agree with attic windows .

Attic windows? The Single Irish Chain would be nice also, using the cabin fabric as the center focal block.

How about trip around the world. You could use the cabin as the center. It would be beautiful.
