I remember when you started this project. It is turning out great. You have a lot of info in this thread to help you through this.

Don't worry about the seam allowance. As long as they are consistant through the project , you should be fine.
The only thing that will change in the end is that the finished top will be just a smidge smaller than what your instructions call for. Not a problem.

This is going to be awesome when finished!

Keep posting your progress!
peace

What you've done so far is beautiful and it would be a shame to not complete it! Please post pictures so we can see it finished!

Oh yes...definitely finish that mistake ridden - slightly off 1/4" seam piece of......wonderment...are you kidding? That is beautiful. No one will ever know there is anything wrong. It looks stunning.

Keep going!!!

Agreed -- finish the quilt keeping all your seams consistent. When you get to the borders you can make them a bit wider to compensate for the smaller size if you need to.

Yes, Dottymo, I have a quilt that is living proof that you do not want to change machines when making a quilt. Even though I thought I had measured the heck out of the new machine I wound up with unmatching 1/4" and a real nightmare to assemble.

Your quilt is beautiful. Please don't stop working on it. If you've gotten it this far with seams that are a skosh more than 1/4 inch, it shouldn't be a problem to finish it that way. You have clearly been both careful and consistent with our piecing. Should not be a problem. That's a very impressive first effort.

I have been admiring your top from the first time you posted a picture. So what if it isn't exactly the size that the pattern says it should? I'm sure that the quilt police won't be knocking at your door with their tape measure:o Finish it and ENJOY!!!

If you have started with another seam allowance, then finish with the same allowance. "Don't change horses in the middle of the stream" It is more important to have a consistent seam allowance than the 1/4 inch. From what I can see on your design wall, it is coming together beautifully!

I agree with Tartan. Your quilt is beautiful!

Your Quilt is "Very Beautiful" I would finish. Remember, we learn by our mistakes. And I DON'T "SEE ANY" I wish I could Quilt as "Great AS YOU".
