Making a bunch of 'Just One Star' blocks to make a QOV. I made twelve thinking that would do it but it looks like I need 3 more (I'm going to set them on point) in order to make it the right size to be eligible.

I haven't anything to quilt right now, so I have been making skirts for my pocket books.

I am finishing a memory quilt -in memoriam of my dad. He passed about 10 years ago but I finally decided to make a quilt and give it to my sister as they were really close. I used ties, some of his and I had to get more, and printed photos and letters onto fabric sheets. I made a bow tie quilt with fabric blocks interspersed. Now I am stitching it all together.

Well, LA's Awsome Degreaser was what finally took the ick off of the machine. I don't know what do with the quilt. I might just pass it on to be part of a charity quilt. Too many errors to put it in a show quilt.

Working on my Judy Niemeyer Glacier Star-last set of classes for it this coming weekend-will have enough done to construct the top with the extensions. Then comes the big decision-how to quilt it!!

momto5 10-23-2011 04:39 PM

I have a queen-size Carpenter's Star in the LA, and a baby quilt on the Janome...and two UFO's I need to get on! And what did I do this weekend? Shopped!

I am trying to get a full size quilt quilted that I have been working
on for a few years. I am on the border so I hope it won't be long
now. Then I can post a picture.

I cut up all of my scraps into squares and rectangles over the last couple of weeks, so today, I've been working on a scrappy garden brick wall quilt top and a Christmas ornament that I saw on-line.

tsnana2000 10-23-2011 05:29 PM

I spent the weekend with my daughter and my newest grandson.

jollyquilting 10-23-2011 05:50 PM

Finished up binding a quilt, finished up some tea towels in red, and have started a new towel to crewel.

Rusty's Mama 10-23-2011 06:29 PM

I put the binding on a whimsical fall wall hanging (a UFO of several years) and met with 2 friends on Saturday to start a tumbling block quilt using diamonds/triangles instead of set in seams. The tumbling block quilt is addictive!

just a few hours, two shams to match a quilt.

quilt-fanatic 10-23-2011 09:30 PM

Just Fabric 10-24-2011 05:37 AM

working On a couple of baby quilts for my shop, a quilt for a friend it's cut out just waiting to be sewn, a couch cover for my son with decorative pillows, coin purses for my shop!

mpeters1200 10-24-2011 07:26 AM

I'm so glad I started this thread. When I got frustrated this weekend, I remembered how many are all working on projects like me and I felt like I had commerades in arms.

I completely messed up the inner border on both the runners. I accidently used the the wrong color on both of them. I don't care. I kept them in cause they are so close to being done it's just not worth taking them all out. I'll call it the creative difference from the pattern or something.

I only have one left to cut and piece. Hoping everything will be done by next weekend so I can spend November quilting them.

Thank you for all your replies! Really inspired me to keep going.

Finally finished the denim quilt for my oldest son...thank goodness. Probably won't make another one as they are so heavy to work on. It had 35 10 inch blocks and a 4 inch border all around. I lined the back with red fleece with little black paw prints on it. He came by last night and I gave it to him and he was really thrilled with it. (so Momma was thrilled) It will be so nice to cold nights.

oldbalt99 10-24-2011 10:32 PM

I'll be sitting to my quilting rack embroidering designs onto a quilted recliner throw it took me all of two weeks to piece together in april this year. It is designated weekend work, because I have another quilt top to do during the weekdays.

AnnR 10-26-2011 06:32 PM

I have been working on 2 Quilts of Valor and putting together some orphan blocks to make patchwork covers for my sewing chairs.
