After the bridal shower at noon today, I need to make a tortilla warmer for a friend's birthday party next week.

Today I plan to finish putting on the last 2 borders of my Indigo Way quilt. Hopefully, I can get it finished and then maybe tomorrow get it squared up and ready to send to my quilter.

I finished up a second travel jewelry pouch. Did one with and one without topstitch along the edges to see which I preferred. And I haven't decided.

I am hoping to finish the quilting on my partner’s Halloween quilt. I have a couple of lines to complete of straight line quilting and then it will just be bind and wash. It’s one of my UFO projects so want to get it done sooner rather than later!

I love the look of top stitching but I don't always like the actual doing it. When in doubt I wait a bit, decide not to top stitch , wait a bit more, then up doing it. I'm weird. In the end, do what suits you.

This weekend has been nice outside so between working outside in the perennial bed, and the usual laundry and house cleaning, I have been working on these blocks. A few weeks ago I was in a Barbara Cline class and just loved her technique and the class. This is left over patriot fabric from the scrappy pinwheel class of hers. I designed and came up with this block. They are 17.5x20. I am adding them to my design wall as I finish a block, I have one more to go, then to figure layout, and sashing size. I am enjoying these blocks and the creativeness of this project.

Lots of storms passing through the last couple of days. In a heavy rain and thunder one now. I have a quilt top ready to baste and a demo project to get organized for next month's guild demo. I volunteered to do a demo at every meeting. Keeps my brain going that's for sure.

Working on making QAYG blocks for my UFO finish during the day and in the evening I am sewing hexies on an acquired
UFO using recycled shirts in plaids and stripes. Also taking several short hikes through our forest to keep me from sitting all day. Gotta keep moving!

Our tankless water heater (Best choice I ever made!) is in a closet in my workroom, and the plumber arrives tomorrow for the annual "flush-out" of the system. So today, I must clear a path and tidy up a bit. I am sewing quilted zipper bags from the scraps leftover from the tortilla warmer.

I finished the pieced back for my friend's birthday quilt. I missed her birthday last week but Its ready to basted and quilt as soon as I finish my FMQ practice quilt.
