[quote=kristen0112]My favorite is New York Beauty below is a link for free patternsit looks challegning but it's not that bad they arepaper pieced.
Thanks for the link. I love the variations on this block, and haven't seen this site before. |
My favorites are in this order, Burgoyne surrounded, hunter's star and crossed canoes.
I love two color quilts and all of these lend themselves well to that. |

doowopddbop, I liked your idea of posting a photo of your favorite block. May I offer the same for what I had posted above on this Page 6. I answered that any block set on point was my favorite. Here is a lap quilt I made from the free patterns of mccallsquilting.com. The block was Aunt Dinah and I chose the colors, fabric and layout myself.

I just learned the 10 minute block last week and I love it!

Drunkerds path. I made a DP one time and did quilt as you go. I was so glad to be done with it. But, I intend to do another one. That one was my second dquilt and I did it at work. That was why I decided on quilt as you go (so I could take it to work) But I have that pattern pop into my mind lots of time when I look at some fabrics.

Right now it's the Disappearing 9 Patch. It's almost impossible to screw it up.
