I like to find and match fabric, but also like to cut out and sew together!

1. Making the blocks
2. Free Motion Quilting - I'm always in practice mode :? |
I love planning that involves looking at pictures, touching fabric, thinking about what might be, and coming here for inspiration.
In the long run, I both love and hate all stages. It's always so much fun starting but when I have to cut hundreds of little bits, well, it gets old. Sewing the blocks is exciting then I hit a spot where it seems I'll never have enough blocks for a quilt. And on it goes....... And always, in retrospect, it was WAY more fun than it might have seemed at the time. (kind of like giving birth) |
I'd say definitely hand piecing/quilting/applique. I love the quiet rhythm of it.
I enjoy the planning phase too... except for color/fabric selection.... color choices usually give me major heartburn! |

I love hand quilting, it is the most relaxing. The binding (also by hand) because when I get to that part it is finished.

Planning, piecing and snuggling under a finnished quilt.

The Fabric, then the patterns, then sewing the blocks.
