As I tried to think of my favorite, I started getting nervous. Practically had an anxiety attack! Wow, (shaking my head at myself). I don't have to have a favorite. Whew! The pressure is off. I like too many to decide, although I'm always working on an applique one and embroidery,

oh my goodness..3 months ago my favorite was a bargello..then a month later my favorite was working on anything to do with strip quilting..this month I am just trying to finish a lap quilt for a good friend that I met here who continues to inspire me on a daily basis..and next will be a 9 patch design for my first grandbaby's birth..omg 8 weeks until he get's here..I love so many of them..
Guess I would have to say the "Disappearing 9-Patch" (or tossed 9-patch) is my favorite. I have made 6 so far; from child-size to nap-size to king-size. Depending on the fabrics, they all look so different and are fun and easy to do.

I am basicaly a new quilter but so far I have thoroughly enjoyed working on OBW. It is my latest quilt along with 4-5 others I am working on. It is amazing to see how the blocks come out after cutting the fabric. Still not done as in the process of moving and will not be able to actually sew for a couple of weeks yet.

I like log cabins, in any way shape or form.

I love the double weddign ring patten and have made a few of them....
I am working on hand quilting a 1930's reproduction print quilt that I started in 2006. And I made a lovey one using warm batik tones for the rings and purple background fabric for the judge who officiated at my wedding. |
I just made my first dresden plate and have plans to do others or the fans, so currently those are my favorite patterns. Next week it might be something else. LOL
I'm a newbie and have made only a few quilts so far, but my absolute favorites to make and look at are all the variations on the log cabin.
I'm with you. I love Dresden plates. Sunbonnet Sue and Sam come in second and then yoyo quilts and cathedral windows. Also doing circle magic now too!

Stars of any kind, but if I need to choose a pattern with a name, I'll go with Weaver's Fever any day! I've made three and it's the only one I'd do more than once...I love variety!

This has been a fun thread to read! No favorite here - but several I'd like to do again - one of them being the card trick pattern (can't remember the official name).
What is the weather vane pattern like? Do you have some pictures? Thanks, Linda
I enjoy doing the D9P and the pinwheel. I haven't been quilting very long so really don't have a favorite. I see all the beautiful creations on this QB and want to make them all.
my favorite is the double wedding ring. I tend to like traditional quilts
Linda Lou, I got the Weather Vane pattern from Quilters Cache. I like it because her pattern makes a 12" block and 3 blocks with borders gives me a quick table runner for those last minute gifts. I wish I had a pic to share but I always forget to take one before I give away my project.

My favorite is Storm at Sea.

Too many to narrow it down to just one. I just love the process. I suppose like others, my favorite is the one I'm working on at the moment.

My favorite quilt block, gooness that is a hard one, but would have to say anything with a star, a nine patch, four patch, storm at sea, mariners compass..... as you can see it is about anything that encomapases a quilt block. LOL It is very hard to pick just one. Jennifer

What is a weather vane quilt? Do you have any pictures you could post, never heard of that one, but then again haven't heard of a lot of them.............lol
Eleanor Burns Irish chain. Simple, organized, and assembly-line instructions make it fast, easy, and has lots of ways to customize.
Thank you, I went to Quilters Cache and looked at the block. Looks interesting to do. I will have to try it. Linda
I love the Twisted Bargello. Haven't made one yet but I'm working on it.
My favorite is what ever I'm working on at that time. Too many that I really like to choose.
Stars call to me too and also baskets!
STORM AT SEA!
I've got all the fabric to make a STORM AT SEA. Just haven't made the time to start. |
Nine patch coupled with any other block.
