The D9P used to be my main go-to pattern, it is so versatile and easy to make. But then I made the Just Beachy rail fence for my daughter and that was soooooo easy and fast and so great looking, I have to say it is my new fast and easy quilt pattern.
For hers I used all different fabrics for the center of each block, but it's also very lovely if you use all the same. Done in brights such as batiks with black outside bars or florals with green bars, it is stunning.
This is the same basic pattern as aeble used for her mermaids.

I did a column quilt (strips of fabric cut the WOF). Then it was the 10 minute blocks then I would guess the one I am working on is a Rag quilt !

What a beautiful quilt. I might have to add this to my bucket list.

I did a Lovers Knot by Eleanor Burns, very easy to make and makes a perfect wedding gift, also looks more complicated than it really is.

Eleanor burns' single irish chain. her directions are for 'coverlets'. so i make mine an extra wider and taller.

I made this chevron quilt (zig zag quilt ?) in just a few weeks.
I used batik 10" pre cuts in tan, blue and navy. I put 2 contrasting
squares, right sides together and sewed all around the outside edge.
Then I cut twice from corner to corner and had 4 HSTs.
Sewed them in rows... Ta Da!

Nvb50, your quilt is so beautiful! Is it an original pattern? Could you point us to a source?

thanks,
Charlotte
